Sorry it’s been so long since my last post. I spent three days attending the Professional Photographers of Canada National convention. So now I’ve come home with all sorts of new ideas and plans!
Now, onto the post.
The day after I returned home, I headed back out to Indian Head where I got to shoot a grad student in her home town. I love being able to go to different locations to photograph grads, but with two kids at home, I don’t usually take on too many evening sessions out of town. I did, however, book this girl in, because though she likely doesn’t remember me, we go waaaay back. When I first moved to Grenfell, I took on a waitressing job (something I said I would NEVER do!) and this girl’s mom and grandparents ran the restaraunt. It turns out that I really loved waitressing, and this girl was only about 7 years old when I was working there. I probably haven’t seen her since 1999, so she’s changed a little! I enjoyed meeting her as an adult and catching up with her mom. Here’s a collection from our evening together.

Her slow pitch team was playing a game the night of our session, so we popped by to say hi and hit a few balls. This girl can crank it too! Heels and a ballgown did not stop her from showing the crowd how it was done.
