Morning dew

A few weeks ago Casey and I were outside on a bright cheery 7:00 a.m. morning, playing in the sandbox. It was super wet on the grass, so I had a towel and I was laying down (because it was 7:00 a.m. and I was still tired and trying to sneak in an extra few minutes of sleep while he played!)  I noticed all the pretty dew droplets on the grass blades, so instead of getting those bonus sleeping minutes, I ran downstairs and got my macro lens on the camera and made my way back outside to the brisk fall air. I love the reflection in these tiny droplets. Nature is an incredible masterpiece, and so many of the best moments in it are found in the stillness of the dawn before the world turns into a chaotic daily circus. I know I’m going off on a bit of a tangent here, but there are so many horrid stories on the news focused on the awful things that humans do to eachother. It’s nice to be able to escape from all the negativity and enjoy something as simple as a grass blade kissed with morning dew.

That is amazing Tatum! Your macro lens must be super powered! It is amazing that such a tiny drop could hold that much in the reflection!
