Kipling Grad

The Kipling class this year was HUGE!! Like as in 40 kids.  That’s alot for our area! Of course I wasn’t able to photograph everyone, or they would have been 10 minutes sessions, but I had 17 students. That’s one hectic day. Thank goodness for my awesome cousin, Morgan, who helped be a  reflector holder, take e-mails, explain products to parents, etc.

Because I always set up at the school, my outdoor shots are always done in and around the school. I try to do as many unique things as possible, but honestly, it does get challenging. I hope that you’ll see a different angle/location/photoshop technique, etc in almost every picture.  But the end of the day, doing 25 minute sessions straight through from 9:30 til 5:00, it is an exhausting day, not only physically, but artistically and mentally!   I hope you all enjoy the sneak peek though. I had over 1600 files to go through, so it is going to be a heavy bit of editing in the next little while!

In case anyone is wondering if this is a “real” pose, it’s not! This student was a total goof, and had some of the funniest expressions.  This was his Captain Morgan pose.

He also had the most unique tie. His dad made it, and it weighed a ton! It was all done in chain. He explained it all to me, and though it sounded very impressive (and incredibly time consuming), I didn’t follow exactly how it is done. His dad does sell some of his hand made jewelry at craft fairs, and will have a table at the big craft show in Carlyle. His company name is “You’ve got Maille”, out of Kipling.  Very neat stuff!

If Morgan was still busy getting information to parents, brother’s worked well as reflector holders too.    Thanks Bryce.  :)
