I moved to Grenfell in 1997. When I first came, I had an old camera of my dad’s. It wasn’t fancy, but I fooled around with it. I did a few pictures of my cousin’s kids a couple times. Shortly after that, I photographed my cousin’s friend’s daughters. This is one of those little girls. She was 5 at the time. Now she’s moved away from Grenfell, but came back last week to have me photograph her casual session. Crazy!! I can’t believe I’ve been doing this that long!!! There were so many people in the beginning that gave me a chance to learn, and make mistakes, and experiment. I know my pictures when I first started were less than spectacular, so I really appreciate all of you who got dressed up, did your hair and makeup, and let me photograph you, even if the result was far from professional in those days.
And thank you to you Monica and Stormi. You were one of my first real clients, and I’m so excited to have been able to capture this moment in your lives, now that I know what I’m doing!!
