All grown up

I go waaaaay back with these two sets of people. The one family made an appearance on the blog last summer, so forgive me if I repeat my story about them. The mom of the family from the first set of images is a girl that I used to babysit when I was a kid. She was the oldest in a family of three, and the TTD bride is the youngest of the family.  Now they’ve turned into moms and wives, and Stacey’s girls are probably close in age to what her and Jocelyn were when I used to take care of them! Too weird. I was also friends with the husband and his sister in school, so there are connections all the way around.

We didn’t have the greatest weather. It was crazy windy all day, and overcast and raining. It did finally stop towards the time when we were about to start, but it was still pretty dreary.  As we were finishing the Trash the Dress session, it started again, and we got a few cool shots in the hot tub as they were warming up.  Thanks for being so very willing to freeze your butts off guys! Northern lake water isn’t the warmest (though it is fantastically clean and clear), and it’s especially not warm in late august, when it’s cloudy and late in the evening.  And Val, thanks for the good meal and extra special, poppy seed covered buns.

I asked her what kind of a pose she was going to do for me.  This was her response…..

The clouds parted enough for just a few minutes to get a handful of shots where the water looked beautifully blue.
