Regina sessions
On Saturday, I went into the city to shoot a few sessions. It was absolutely gorgeous out, and I shot at all new places, so it was exciting for me. First up was a couple who wanted a session just because (actually I photographed them second, but when posting the images, they ended up first, so we’ll leave it that way!) I’ve known Anne for years, as she’s a fellow Grenfeller. Thanks to her bf Joel for being patient with me as a fumbled my way around the city, taking wrong turns and trying to back out of parking spaces with my big beastly truck!
We photographed at a mural that I have loved ever since it went up. It’s on the Cathedral Free House, and I love it’s vibrance and style. I had never been up close to see that the artist’s name and website was on the curb. The artist is Roberto Lopez, and after visiting his site, I was in awe. This is my kind of art! If I could afford it, I’d have huge prints hanging all over my house of his work. Here’s his site…

The next session (the first one!) was a girl who I’ve photographed before, when her sister graduated. Ashley is a such a sweetheart, and she looked so pretty in her shimmery purple gown. Such a great smile too
She reminds me so much of a girl I grew up with. In my head I was calling her Carly the whole time I was shooting.
Sam & David
I will be photographing this couple at Kenosee Lake this coming summer, and I’m sure it’s going to be a beautiful wedding! We did a quick studio session the other night, and I was feeling it in black and white.
