This family drove out from Regina the same evening as the previous grad post. They had hoped for outdoor pics, but like I mentioned earlier, it was cold and windy. We decided for everyone’s sake that the studio was probably a better choice. We had a good time in here, and did sneak out for a few at the end too. These kids were great sports, and while we were wrapping up, the spent a few minutes impressing me with their french language skills. 
This family have been faithful clients every since their first little girl was a baby. I think this is their third session, and I’ll be photographing their extended family in the summer as well! These girls were so sweet, even if the smiles were hard to come by on the baby.
I love the matching blue eyes of these two siblings in the second shot! This family had been here for a session when their little girl was smaller, and now that there’s another little one in the family, it was time for an update.
Originally we had planned on doing this little girl’s newborn pictures, but timing and schedules didn’t line up, so we decided to wait until she was a bit older to get together. It was great to meet her and see her sweet personality. I do love newborn sessions, but I also really like the interaction with older babies.
Well, my two months hiatus is officially over, and I’m back on schedule with sessions! Here’s my session from yestreday. Our time together was a breeze, since she was a very happy little girl.
I had this cutie come for a shoot this afternoon, and I finally got a chance to use my new headband that I ordered from Etsy. I bought three of them, and the one in the first image was so pretty with the feather! It’s a good thing I don’t have girls, because I’d go broke buying them cute stuff. On the weekend, I headed out near Regina to photograph my husband’s cousin’s family, and their new little man. He wasn’t quite newborn anymore (born just before Christmas), but we somehow got a few sleeping newbornish type poses at the end. He was such a happy little guy, and the kid’s playroom was so amazingly colorful and bright and cheery. I loved it! Thanks for the visit guys.
I had booked this session just before I decided to take my little mini break. What a treat it was! I’m so glad I didn’t miss out on this one. This little girl was so happy and easy to photograph. Her big day is on tuesday, so she came in for the 1 year photo session. Mommy is a great cake maker, so she brought along her own creation, ready for destruction by baby hands! She needed a little encouragement to get her to really mess that pretty cake up, but eventually she got the hang of it! She was a complete lady though through the whole thing. Happy birththday missy! Hope you have a wonderful birthday party.
I’ve been done shooting sessions for awhile now, so the blog has been a little lonely lately. I always need the last month and a half before Christmas to design cards, albums, get orders done and packaged up, etc. Because I’m not shooting anything, there’s nothing going on in blogland, so I figured I’d post a few images from some of my summer and fall sessions. I headed out to Stockholm last week to photograph this newborn session. I’ve worked for this family on many, many occasions. Engagement, wedding, pregnancy, newborn session of their first child, etc. I know the mom was thinking that it would be a challenge to do a newborn and a toddler, and of course it’s not a quick, easy task with these ages, but I’m so happy with how everything turned out! The girls are both gorgeous, and the older one and I did some bonding while mom was busy with baby. Here are your little princesses!
