This mommy was a beautiful bridesmaid in a wedding I shot this past summer.  After the wedding she contacted me to set up a pregnancy/family session. It was awesome that dad brought his guitar and we got to incorporate that into the session.

Pregnancy

I have had the best run of maternity sessions lately. It’s been so nice to shoot them outside, in the sunlight, with great locations. I’ve known this girl since she was in elementary school, so it’s pretty neat to be able to now capture this time for her. She’s still got a few months to go before they get to meet their new little one, but timing worked out to do the session at this time of year. I’m so glad we did. It was a gorgeous morning, and her mom’s garden was full of blooms.  Best of luck with the next few months :)

Pregnancy

I’ve followed this couple with every celebration in their life together. Engagement, wedding, trash the dress, and now pregnancy! I love that about this job.  She looks so gorgeous, and I can’t wait to meet the new little one and spend time capturing that special time in their lives as well.  :)

Maternity

This was the most A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. maternity session, EVER!!!!  I knew I was in love with it as I was shooting it, but getting them on the computer and completing the vision I had in my head is just so fulfilling!! I knew I wanted a really soft look on some of these, so I made myself a new effect in PS to do a purply sort of haze (you’ll see in a few images down).  This isn’t for everybody, and when I do stuff like this, I always include the original coloring as well, but I adore the soft look on these. This family was so great to photograph, and they put alot of thought into locations and props (getting the old truck washed up and parked in just the right spot!).  Thank you so much for having me out to your farm guys. I loved our time together. :)

Pregnancy

I first met this girl almost 2 years ago when I photographed her first pregnancy. Soon after that, we shot her newborn’s pics, and now it’s on to number 2!  We even got to go outside, since it wasn’t -40!  Feels good to shoot outside again finally. Good luck with your last few weeks of pre-mommyhood. :)

Maternity

My husband’s cousin and his family came out last saturday for a visit and we did some maternity pictures while they were here. I have covered their wedding, 1st pregnancy, newborn and family pictures already, so I’ve gotten to document alot of their life over the past few years!  Newborn pics will be up here in a few weeks as well when we go out to see them after the new little person arrives! Can’t wait, as I have a super cute newborn outfit coming in the mail, that I ordered on etsy.

Pregnancy

This was my mid day session in Grenfell, just after I shot the family in Wolseley from the previous post. Like I mentioned then, it was freezing out, and stupid windy.  These guys definately toughed it out in short sleeves!  I haven’t posted a pregnancy session in a little while, so there’s quite a few in here.  But we got some neat ones, so I had to share! Best of luck over the next few weeks.  :)

Expecting

Well, surprise, surprise. The weather sucked again the day of this session. Arrgh….  I know how frustrating it is for me when the weather doesn’t cooperate, so I can’t even imagine how all these farmers feel.  My heart goes out to all of you who farm!  We did alot of the session inside the studio because of the drizzle, but we did head out for a bit later on, and I’m glad we did. There are rain streaks in some of the images, but the fall colors are coming out, and it’s just so pretty when the leaves start to turn.  This is the second time I’ve photographed this family, and now they’re expanding by one. Congrats guys.  :)  Thanks for sharing all your concert stories and making me insanely jealous!!

Another mommy

I’ve had so many mommys lately, and this was the latest one. She brought some other important people along with her as well, so it was nice to involve them in some of the images. Her little girl is pretty excited to be a big sister, and she will be a super helper I’m sure.  Good luck with your last few weeks!
